This celebration was graced upon by our Chief Guest Dr Surendra Varma, Senior Research Scientist, IISC , and Mr Bharath AJ, IISC, Founding Director of Young Innovators Educational Services Pvt Ltd.

We at St Joseph’s have made small steps towards saving the environment:
• Introduced LED Lighting and Solar Lighting to reduce the consumption of Electricity
• Go Green Rally flagged off by the Worshipful Mayor of Bangalore - Smt G Padmavati, to sensitise the society we live in, on the growing need to ‘Go Green’
• In-House waste Management system to ensure waste segregation at source
• Phenomenon – A much awaited annual ‘Zero Waste Carnival’

The Chief Guest applauded our efforts at SJBHS and delivered his message, inspiring students to be responsible citizens.

To make this day memorable, the Chief Guest, and Reverend Father Clifford Sequiera, the Principal, along with Reverend Father Robert Rodrigues, the School Administrator and Mrs. Miriam Angelo, the Vice Principal, each planted a sapling as an initiative for the whole school to follow. The school sang, ‘Heal the World’ in the background.

The message to take home for each one us is, ‘Climate change is real, environmental degradation is happening. So do your best to control and reduce your consumption in everyday life.
