There were readings from the Holy Bible, Koran, Bhagwat Gita, Buddhist and Jain scriptures as well as the Guru Granth Sahib. Interspersed with the readings were melodiously sung hymns, bhajans and songs in English, Hindi and Kannada to reiterate the fact that although SJBHS is an English medium school, the vernaculars also play a major role in expression.

The two sessions of the service had two chief guests viz. Dr. Cherian Alexander, Professor of St. Joseph’s Arts and Science College and Mr. Allwyn Vaz, parent and wellwisher of SJBHS. While Dr. Alexander touched on the importance of people of all religions living together in peace, while Mr. Allwyn focused on gratitude.

Prayers and supplications were rendered for the students answering the boards as well as the school final exams; the Almighty’s blessings to guard and guide their every step. Hide
