The traditional lighting of the lamp and the Invocation Song was followed by a lively and graceful Welcome Dance by the ISC girls and the Welcome Address by Mrs. Miriam Angelo who made the gathering feel truly blessed to be a part of SJBHS. The Annual Report condensed the social, spiritual, sports, academic, curricular and extracurricular activities of the school for the year 2016-17 while lauding the achievements of the students during the year gone by. The active participation of the OBA and the PTA was appreciated, once again reminding us that parents, teachers and the management are collaborators in Jesuit education.

Fr Rector, while congratulating the awardees and their parents, cautioned the students about being afraid of failure. He advised them to develop confidence as part of their demeanor and embrace failures as being the stepping stones to success. The Chief Guest, Dr. Nandakumar, while reminiscing on the best days of his life as being a student at Joseph’s, asked the award winners to crystallize and coalesce their dreams while adopting perseverance and resilience as their cloak and shield.

The Prize Distribution ceremony lauded and recognized the efforts of the winners and served as impetus to others to try harder. Hide
