Rector's message

St Joseph’s Boys’ High school is one of the oldest pillars of education in Karnataka imparting quality education and preparing men for a better society for last 158 years.

The BHS has always been in forefront in the field of education leading and guiding not only the students in the campus but also by being an exemplary school with a difference and as the epitome of values and virtues for other schools as well. Here in this abode of knowledge and wisdom, of love and loyalty, of courage and confidence, the students have seen themselves set on fire with deeper understanding of themselves, a stronger appreciation of the goodness that is within them, a firmer conviction of their own uniqueness, of their own preciousness, of their own infinite possibilities.

Here too, along with the light of knowledge, the flame of wisdom has been lit within them. Wisdom to distinguish what is right from what is wrong. What is just from what is unjust. What is proper from what is improper.

The students are being forged in the fire of discipline and are emerging strong and steady in character and conviction.

They are being tempered in the furnace of wisdom and are becoming men and women of courage and confidence.

The students here are purified in the flame of spirituality and are exhorted to hold on to the basic values of humanity, honesty, compassion and service. Therefore, they are fondly and sweetly reminded of the seven Cs of their life as students here: COMPETENCE, CONSCIENCE, CHARACTER, COMPASSION, CONCERN, CONFIDENCE and COMMITMENT. These seven will always remain the pole stars for their life, guiding their steps, lighting up their path and instilling in them tremendous amount of strength. I wish the principal, the staff, all the partners and collaborators success in all their endeavors and invoke God’s manifold blessings upon them in the beautiful work of imparting quality and holistic education to prepare men and women for others.
